4 Kick Butt Weapons That Could be Life-Saving When SHTF

Doomsday

The truth is we have no idea how long a SHTF situation will last. It could be weeks, months, years, or even a decade could go by before things improve. Some call it Doomsday because the possibility of making things the way they were after the grid goes down will be unlikely.

All we know is that as preppers, we prepare because we all want to get through it.

To make sure that happens we need the right weapons and tools. For a while, a prepared survivalist will have the correct tools and weapons stocked up to protect their family and gather food.

However, after a while, depending on how long a SHTF situation goes on, other homemade weapons and tools may be needed.

That's where making your own comes into play!

On the next page check out four kick-butt weapons that could prove to be life-saving when all hell breaks loose and you're running short on weapons!

Lol you call yourself a die hard survivor and that’s the best you can come up with? Smh.

I thought the point was to be prepared ahead of time so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel (or shotgun, in this case).

Bow, pepper spray, taser, shotgun, all homemade.

Seriously, these are all weak$#%&!@*and depletable. Get a good K-Bar, ball bat, and a couple heavy machetes.

Bow, shotgun, machete and a good fixed blade knife. All are multiple purpose and also somewhat redundant as well.

If I bought every single thing that is a “life or death” need in a shtf scenario according to every “expert”…. I’d be dead from the weight of carrying it all with me anyway….

4 better weapons than this list:

    1. Firearm
    2. Knife
    3. Rock
    4. Anything except for the weapons on the first list.

This is lame…a sharp spoon would be more useful….. or the rock as above mentioned

I have a recurve bow, a hatchet, a pair of daggers, and a sword. I want to replace the recurve for a crossbow, since I don’t have to string it and have a lot of strength and time in the middle of a fight where a short ranged projectile would save my life.

Crossbows do not make good fighting weapons. They are effective only when used by an army of crossbowmen. Even then, they’re not great. Just look at their use at Agincourt against the English longbowmen.Their reload rate is too slow, and you can double that reload time during the grip of an adrenaline rush. I own a 175lb crossbow. I can only reload and fire it every 30 seconds. It’s quicker to defend yourself with a shovel.
